Vidya Shah, Executive Director and Head

Vidya is responsible for giving strategic direction to EdelGive Foundation and guiding its overall development.

Previously she was CFO of the Edelweiss Group, which also involved working on Edelweiss’ philanthropy programme. She has also worked with ICICI, Peregrine and N. M. Rothschild during her 19 year career in investment banking.

Vidya has a Bachelors degree in Commerce and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Aditi Thorat, Chief Operating Officer

Aditi Thorat has the overall responsibility for managing the operations of EdelGive Foundation, and for converting strategy into action. She also oversees EdelGive’s relationship with investees, and donors and other partners.

Aditi has experience with government, bilateral agencies and NGOs. Before joining EdelGive Foundation, Aditi was Consultant to the German Technical Cooperation’s (GTZ) Indo-German Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative. Previously, she was Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, focusing on stimulating partnerships between Government departments and local, national and international NGOs.

Aditi has a Masters in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford.

Sunaina Kilachand Patel, Head – Strategy and Partnerships

Sunaina is responsible for looking at overall strategy and growth, developing co-investment opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Most recently, she worked as an independent consultant advising private equity firms on investment opportunities, building growth strategies for portfolio companies, and advising large business on corporate social responsibility strategies. Prior to that she worked in the areas of infrastructure finance and emerging markets private equity where she played a key role in influencing public policy, driving investment policy, and identifying new business initiatives. In her career span she has worked with IDFC and Boston Consulting Group.

Sunaina holds a Bachelors degree with Honours in Economics from Oberlin College in the US, and has an MBA from INSEAD.

Kavita Pandya, Project Manager

Kavita is responsible for effectively leveraging the expertise of Edelweiss employees and matching this with the requirements of EdelGives investees.

Before joining EdelGive she has worked in Human Resources, undertaking projects in the areas of identifying training skills and developing training calendars, manpower skill inventory management and employee database management.

Kavita has an MBA from N L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai and a Bachelors degree from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics.

Divya Srinath, Manager

Divya is responsible for managing the co-funding and communication related activities undertaken by EdelGive Foundation.

She has worked with the United Nation’s Childrens Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in New Delhi in the capacity of a Corporate Fundraiser. She has also worked with Data64 Techno Solutions, a start-up venture in Pune, as Head (Operations). At Data64 she overlooked the company’s business development & partnerships programme, Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and human resources and finance operations.

Divya holds a Masters in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Tessy Mathew, Project Analyst

As Project Analyst, Tessy is responsible for undertaking the due-diligence of EdelGives investees.

A recent social work graduate of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Tessy has worked previously in Kanyakumari with an organization dealing with Tsunami rehabilitation programmes. During her graduation, she was a member of the National Social Service through which she volunteered for V Excel, a school for the differently abled. As part of her coursework, she was engaged with a project working for the health and development of tribal people in Aghai, Thane.
